On 27 December 2022, long queues formed at operating petrol stations in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, after disruption to supplies of Super 91 petrol. The local newspaper Sidwaya interviewed a woman at a station in the Gounghin district who had waited for more than two hours after searching across the capital for fuel. This was an ordered wait to buy a limited everyday necessity, not merely a crowd. In a city where motorcycles are central to daily mobility, time spent waiting for petrol directly affects work and travel. This article documents the disruption on that date; it does not claim that the same queue exists today.
