On 7 October 2026, long admission queues surrounded San Marcos University in Lima for a BTS concert. Soundcheck entry through Gate 1 ran from 8 a.m. until about 1 p.m., while hundreds waited at other access points. The three shows were expected to draw about 150,000 people, with more than 1,000 municipal personnel deployed per date. Businesses offering food, makeup and hairstyling appeared beside the lines; some people sold places in the queue for 40 to 60 soles, while ticket resellers quoted far higher prices. Organisers added gates and internal holding areas for roughly 80 per cent of capacity, yet missing signs around roadworks left fans searching for the correct route. The queue managed admission, but also produced a temporary market in position, preparation and access.
