On 2 February 2021, around 100 mainly older residents waited in line at a COVID-19 vaccination centre in the Grand Anse Mahé district administration office, Seychelles. Seychelles News Agency reported that police managed the line and that about 500 people from two western Mahé districts were expected to be vaccinated there. In a small island country, a public-health programme organized by age became a shared wait among one generation.
