During Mozambique's 2023 voter-registration drive, large crowds and queues continued at registration posts in Sofala, Zambézia and Nampula provinces. People were waiting to obtain voter cards and enter the register before election day.

What distinguishes these lines is that they were not queues to cast ballots, but queues to be recognised administratively as people entitled to vote. Participation depended on the capacity of registration posts and equipment before a single ballot was issued.
